Subaru and his friends defeated their enemies in the bloody battle that took place in Priestella's Watergate City, but they paid dearly for it. Rem has been reduced to a coma due to the "Authority of Gluttony," all memories of the Crucifixion have been erased, and poor Julius has even forgotten his name. Subaru is now searching for a way to put it all back to normal. In this search, he learns about Shaula, a "wise man" who is said to possess all the knowledge in the world. Now Subaru's next destination is the "Pleiades Watchtower," which stands in the middle of a dangerous desert called Auguria Dunes. This place is so terrifying that even the most powerful "Sword Saint" Reinhard could not conquer it. On the way, the wrath of nature, strange and hideous monsters and the danger of death lie at every step. Subaru, along with his friends, embarks on a journey where life is at risk, but he wants to get back everything he has lost.
